Church Organizations
Purpose - To promote the Christian home education of children, Christian living
and service in St. Bridget Parish, to foster the spiritual development of the women of the parish, and
to provide opportunities for friendship and community spirit though social and educational progress.
Meetings - Our meetings are the fourth Sunday of each month at 12:30 pm in the
rectory conference room. There are no meetings in January, February, March or July. Corporate communion
is the fourth Sunday of every month at the 8:00 am Mass.
General Information - We visit area nursing homes several times throughout the
year brining refreshments and prizes for bingo. During Lent, we have a day of reflection. The date
varies and will be announced in advance. There is also an annual breakfast the fourth Sunday in July
(subject to change so that it does not conflict with the Parish Festival). At this time, we install our
new members and honor 25 and 50 year members. This year will mark our 70th year here at St. Bridget
Church!
We will be selling apple doughnuts from the McAfee Apple Orchard again this year
after the 5:00 pm Mass, Saturday, October 23, 2004 and after all the Masses on Sunday, October 24th.
Weather permitting, this sale will be held outdoors.
We are available to assist wherever needed in the Parish such as receptions, dinners,
etc.
We pray the Rosary at the wake of a deceased member and have an honor
guard at the funeral Mass.
We welcome any Catholic lady in good standing to join our group.
If you are interested or have further questions, please contact Mary
Adams, the President at (219) 942-3922.
